Terms of Service

These terms describe the conditions for using SmartScroll, paying for subscriptions, enabling app-blocking permissions, and interacting with the service.

Acceptance and scope

  • By downloading, accessing, or using SmartScroll, the user agrees to these Terms of Service and to the related Privacy Policy.
  • If the user does not agree to these terms, the user should not use SmartScroll.

Accounts and eligibility

  • Users are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and keeping their login credentials and device access secure.
  • SmartScroll may suspend, limit, or terminate access if an account is misused, used unlawfully, used to evade payment controls, or used in a way that threatens the service or other users.

Subscriptions, trials, and billing

  • Paid SmartScroll features are offered through Apple in-app purchases. Subscription pricing, trial terms, and renewal details are shown in the app before purchase.
  • Renewals, billing timing, cancellations, refunds, upgrades, downgrades, and payment methods are governed by the user's App Store account and Apple's policies.
  • SmartScroll may use RevenueCat and backend verification to confirm entitlement status and keep subscription access in sync across sessions and devices.

How the service works

  • SmartScroll combines account management, onboarding, quiz sessions, minute-balance tracking, and app-access enforcement features.
  • Some features depend on platform-specific permissions or services, including Apple Screen Time or Family Controls on iPhone. If a required permission is denied or revoked, parts of the service may not work correctly.

User responsibilities

  • Users agree to use SmartScroll only for lawful, personal use and not to interfere with or disrupt the service.
  • Users may not reverse engineer the service, bypass its purchase flow, manipulate subscription state, automate abuse of quiz or minute systems, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to data, systems, or accounts.
  • Users are responsible for reviewing and understanding any app-blocking configuration they enable on their devices.

Permissions and device behavior

  • If the user grants Apple Screen Time permissions, SmartScroll may use those permissions to restrict access to selected apps when the user's available minutes reach zero.
  • The user is responsible for understanding that permission changes, operating-system changes, App Store state, and device configuration can affect whether the service works as expected.

Content, quizzes, and information

  • Quiz content and related explanations are provided for product functionality and informational purposes. SmartScroll does not promise that quiz content will be complete, error-free, or suitable for any educational, professional, or testing purpose.
  • SmartScroll is not medical, therapeutic, psychiatric, or emergency advice.

Availability and changes

  • SmartScroll may change, improve, suspend, or remove features, pricing, product packaging, or content at any time, subject to applicable law and store rules.
  • The service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, bugs, provider outages, operating-system behavior, device issues, or third-party platform dependencies.

Privacy and data handling

  • Use of SmartScroll is also subject to the Privacy Policy, which describes the account, onboarding, subscription, quiz, minute-ledger, blocked-app, and technical data the service handles.

Disclaimers

  • SmartScroll is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, continuous compatibility with every device state, or that every restriction, purchase sync, or restore action will complete without delay.

Limitation of liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Orune and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from use of SmartScroll.
  • If liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

Termination and updates

  • Users may stop using SmartScroll at any time. SmartScroll may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, or address misuse.
  • These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of SmartScroll after updated terms take effect means the user accepts the revised terms.
